Throughout this semester I have been working on various things for this course. One of the things I've worked on each week is a TPACK Quest, where I have tasks each week to earn a badge to show a new skill I have learned.
This is a great way to motivate students to learn new things, with rewards such as badges. Children will be motivated to try new things without being bribed with a large prize, but instead a small badge, sort of like a digital sticker!
As I reflect on these last few weeks, I really feel like I've learned a lot. I considered myself pretty technologically savvy before starting this course, but this course has made me think of technology in a different way. I've been able to use certain Web sites I already used, like Pinterest and Twitter in a professional way, which I didn't know how to do before. I have also found a lot of new Web sites I can use in the classroom, to help plan lessons, or communicate with parents and families. I feel a lot more confident to use technology as a professional, when before I was very unsure.
I will now be showing the different skills and badges I have learned throughout this course.
